Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 29, 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by STILL by Michael, including The STILL Journey. They are intended to create clarity about the relationship between STILL by Michael and each client before an engagement begins.
1. About STILL by Michael
STILL by Michael provides personal and professional human development services.
STILL by Michael
Amstelveen, The Netherlands
Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 42094441
Email: michael.c.hoekstra@gmail.com
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply.
2. The STILL Journey
The STILL Journey is a one-to-one human development experience designed to support greater self-awareness, reflection and personal development.
The Founding Edition currently includes:
Eight personalized 120-minute one-to-one sessions
Reflection exercises
Carefully curated educational reading materials
Integration practices between sessions
Personal guidance throughout the journey
The exact scope, timing and practical arrangements of the engagement will be agreed with the client before the journey begins.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, The STILL Journey is a personal one-to-one engagement and may not be transferred to another person.
3. Introductory conversation
Every potential engagement begins with a complimentary 30-minute conversation.
The purpose of this conversation is to explore the client's situation, intentions and expectations and to determine whether The STILL Journey appears to be an appropriate next step.
The introductory conversation does not create an obligation for either party to enter into a paid engagement.
STILL by Michael reserves the right to decline an engagement where Michael believes that the service is not appropriate for the individual's needs or circumstances.
4. Formation of the agreement
An agreement is formed when the client accepts an offer or proposal from STILL by Michael, for example by providing written acceptance by email, unless another method of acceptance has been expressly agreed.
Before the agreement is concluded, the client will be provided with or given access to these Terms & Conditions.
Any individual arrangements regarding the scope, price, payment schedule or delivery of the service that are expressly agreed in writing form part of the agreement and, where they conflict with these Terms & Conditions, the individually agreed terms will take precedence.
Under Dutch consumer rules, general terms should be made available before or when the agreement is concluded and in a form the customer can read and retain. ConsuWijzer
5. Fees and payment
The price of The Founding Edition of The STILL Journey is currently:
€3,495 including VAT
The applicable price will always be confirmed before the client enters into an agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is made following receipt of an invoice from STILL by Michael.
The invoice will specify the applicable payment term.
Where a payment arrangement or installment plan is agreed, the agreed payment schedule will be confirmed separately in writing.
The client remains responsible for making payments by the agreed due dates.
6. Right of withdrawal
Where a consumer enters into an agreement with STILL by Michael at a distance, for example through email or another form of distance communication, the consumer may have a statutory right to withdraw from the agreement without giving a reason within 14 days from the date the agreement is concluded.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the client must clearly inform STILL by Michael of the decision to withdraw, for example by sending an email to:
Where applicable, the client may also use the statutory model withdrawal form, although use of that form is not mandatory.
If the client expressly requests that the services begin during the statutory withdrawal period, STILL by Michael may begin providing the service before the 14-day period has expired.
If the client subsequently exercises the right of withdrawal after services have begun at the client's express request, the client may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the services already provided, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any statutory withdrawal rights that cannot legally be excluded.
ACM specifically states that a service provider who begins work during the cooling-off period at the consumer's request must inform the consumer beforehand about payment for services already provided and obtain the consumer's agreement before starting. Autoriteit Consument & Markt
7. Scheduling and rescheduling sessions
Sessions are scheduled by mutual agreement between the client and STILL by Michael.
The client is expected to attend agreed sessions at the scheduled time.
If a client needs to reschedule a session, the client should notify STILL by Michael as early as reasonably possible.
STILL by Michael understands that circumstances can change and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests.
Repeated cancellations, late changes or missed sessions may affect the ability to complete the journey within the originally intended timeframe.
Any specific cancellation or rescheduling arrangements agreed with the client will be communicated before or during the engagement.
8. Cancellation by STILL by Michael
In exceptional circumstances, STILL by Michael may need to reschedule a session.
Where this happens, a new session will be arranged in consultation with the client and the cancelled session will not be lost.
If STILL by Michael becomes unable to continue providing a material part of the agreed service, the parties will discuss an appropriate solution. Where the agreement must be terminated for this reason, any refund due for services paid for but not provided will be determined in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.
9. Ending the journey early
The STILL Journey is designed as a complete developmental process. Clients are therefore encouraged to consider their commitment carefully before beginning.
A client who wishes to end the engagement before completion should contact STILL by Michael as soon as possible.
Any financial consequences of early termination will depend on the circumstances, the services already provided, costs reasonably incurred, the individual agreement and applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits a client's statutory rights, including rights that may arise where services have not been provided as agreed.
I deliberately would not put “all payments are non-refundable” here. Under Dutch consumer law, blanket provisions that put the consumer at an unreasonable disadvantage can be invalid, and liability or cancellation provisions need to remain reasonable. Autoriteit Consument & Markt
10. Nature of the services
The STILL Journey is a human development service focused on self-awareness, reflection, personal development and conscious decision-making.
STILL by Michael does not provide medical treatment, psychotherapy, psychiatric care or other regulated healthcare services.
The service is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical or psychological condition and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial or other specialist advice.
Clients remain responsible for seeking appropriately qualified professional support where necessary.
11. Client responsibility
The STILL Journey is a collaborative process.
STILL by Michael provides guidance, questions, perspectives, reflection exercises and educational materials. The client remains responsible for their own choices, actions and decisions.
Personal development is individual and results vary from person to person.
STILL by Michael therefore does not guarantee any particular personal, professional, financial, relational or other outcome as a result of participating in The STILL Journey.
12. Confidentiality
Personal information shared by a client during The STILL Journey will be treated with care and discretion.
STILL by Michael will not intentionally disclose confidential information shared during the engagement to third parties without the client's permission, except where disclosure is required by law or where another lawful basis for disclosure applies.
The processing of personal data is further described in the STILL by Michael Privacy Policy.
13. Intellectual property
All original materials provided by STILL by Michael, including written materials, reflection exercises, frameworks, concepts, documents and educational resources, remain the intellectual property of STILL by Michael or the relevant rights holder unless expressly stated otherwise.
Materials provided as part of The STILL Journey are intended for the client's personal use.
They may not be reproduced, published, distributed, sold, commercially exploited or shared publicly without prior written permission from STILL by Michael, except where permitted by law.
Clients remain the owner of their own original personal writings, reflections and other materials they create during the journey.
14. Third-party materials
The STILL Journey may include references to books, articles, research, educational resources or other materials created by third parties.
Rights in these materials remain with their respective owners.
The inclusion or recommendation of third-party material does not mean that STILL by Michael owns or controls that material.
15. Website content
The content on the STILL by Michael website is provided for general informational and educational purposes.
Although reasonable care is taken when preparing website content, it should not be regarded as individualized professional advice.
Website content may be updated, changed or removed from time to time.
16. Liability
STILL by Michael will exercise reasonable care in providing its services.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, STILL by Michael is not responsible for losses resulting solely from decisions or actions taken by a client independently following reflection, discussion or participation in the service.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
This wording is intentionally restrained. ACM identifies broad exclusions of a business's liability as terms that may be unreasonable in consumer contracts. ConsuWijzer
17. Force majeure
Neither party will be responsible for a failure or delay in performing an obligation where this is caused by circumstances reasonably beyond that party's control.
Where such circumstances affect a scheduled session, the parties will make reasonable efforts to reschedule it.
If circumstances beyond either party's reasonable control make continued performance of the agreement impossible for a prolonged period, the parties will discuss an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable law.
18. Complaints
If a client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, STILL by Michael encourages the client to raise the matter as soon as reasonably possible so that an appropriate solution can be explored.
Complaints can be sent to:
STILL by Michael will aim to respond within a reasonable period.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights or remedies available to the client.
19. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
STILL by Michael may update these Terms & Conditions for future engagements when services, business practices or legal requirements change.
The Terms & Conditions applicable to an existing engagement will normally be those accepted when the agreement was concluded, unless a change is subsequently agreed or is otherwise permitted by law.
20. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions and agreements with STILL by Michael are governed by Dutch law.
Where the client is a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive the client of mandatory consumer protection rights that apply under applicable law.
Any dispute will be dealt with by the competent court in accordance with applicable law.
